The Boston Marathon®

We are excited to announce that The Expect Miracles Racing Team is running the 2020 Boston Marathon® through the John Hancock Nonprofit Program!

The Boston Marathon is the country's most iconic race. YOU can take on the physical and mental challenge of running 26.2 miles, and do it all while raising funds for the fight against cancer. 

We have several generous individuals who have applied to run with Expect Miracles for the Boston Marathon and will be fundraising for Expect Miracles Foundation & The Samfund. For more information on our runners and how to support their efforts click here!

Expect Miracles Foundation focuses on a CURE and CARE strategy where we work to help cancer patients before, during, and after cancer treatment.

For the CARE portion, and so that our supporters have the greatest impact with their generosity, we fund leading research addressing four of the greatest challenges in cancer science:
-Early detection
-Real-time prognosis
-Drug-resistant cancer
-Metastatic cancer

We are proud to support two collaborative research centers that share the goal of providing hope for patients by accelerating the pace of translating scientific discoveries into new therapies: The Robert and Renée Belfer Center for Applied Cancer Science at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA The Center for Experimental Therapeutics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY.

But at the same time, we get it - cancer isn’t free. So for the CURE portion of our mission, we are proud to help people deal with the financial toxicity caused by cancer through our direct financial assistance program, The Samfund.

YOU get to decide where your fundraising goes! 

As a member of the Expect Miracles Foundation's racing team you can designate your fundraising to any of the following: 

•  - Area of Greatest Need

• - Expect Miracles' cancer research fund at Dana-Farber
  

• - Expect Miracles' cancer research fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering
  

• - The Samfund for Young Adult Cancer Survivors
  

• - OR you can allocate a percentage to multiple programs

Interested in fundraising for Expect Miracles Foundation for another race? Please join our racing team and make your racing experience more meaningful! You can raise funds in any race, of any kind, of any distance, in any city. Expect Miracles Racers have participated in marathons, kayak races, walkathons, bicycle challenges, 5ks, triathlons, and more. Simply select any fundraising activity, any distance, anywhere in the country, and set your own fundraising goals. Make your race more meaningful by supporting cancer research with every step.
